Hey there! I'm Alyssa, and I am an agricultural, lifestyle and family photographer! You will find me writing blogs or reading books in my spare time! I truly enjoy gardening until my nails are ruined and I love cool, sunny days (AKA fall). Some of my favorite things are the color yellow and fuzzy novelty socks. I love exploring Wisconsin and the Northwoods with my family, but most importantly I am a farm kid. I love all things agriculture! I hope you enjoy my Back 40 of the internet!

Instagram post 2188681480766799791_43636150 IT'S SNOWING! ☃️❄️🎄
The flurries, the lights, the smell of evergreen, this is truly our favorite time of year. It's so stunningly beautiful right now, and I'm so excited to celebrate every little tradition and experience some new ones! Merry Winter Season!
Instagram post 2184546440780907455_43636150 I didn't see much for deer opening weekend, but I did see two spetacular sunrises, I watched the frost burn off in the morning sun, I shared hunting stories with the neighbors, I got to listen to nature, I was startled by birds while making their nests, I listened to nature as Mother Earth breathed, I spent quality time with my Dad wearing blaze orange and relaxed with my Mom. Yeah I didn't see the big buck I prayed for, but God rewarded with so much more. Hunting is an experience and more than just the trophy.

Instagram post 2182797819555688865_43636150 These beautiful souls got married! It is nearly impossible to pick photos to share, as there were so many touching, beautiful and emotional moments during their day. So I decided to focus on the couple, as they are just lovely, sweet, thoughtful people who are adored by everyone in their lives! Be sure to peep those old fashioneds in photo three! They were mixed and toasted during the CEREMONY! It was so Wisconsin, and so wonderful! Plus, they got married outside their beautiful garden, grew and arranged all the flowers for the day and the worked with some of the best vendors the Merrill, WI area has to offer! Their whole day was just joy and fun! Mr. & Mrs. Rogers, you're a dream and I wish you all the best adventures in this life together!
This was the most joyful day, and it was my last wedding photography day ever! I'm so glad to have witnessed this great relationship!
Instagram post 2178771616859586525_43636150 We took this photo seconds before Eli began his proposal.
We were alone on a pier on Lake Michigan... Well there were two fishermen hanging out a ways down from us, but I think they were oblivious to what was happening in our world.
I remember thinking Eli was acting a bit different, but thought maybe he was just happy for catching a tiny lil fish earlier or maybe he was just in a post-dinner stupor.

Nope, this was our big moment. On a beautiful summer night, on the water in the middle of no where. The ring is a family heirloom from Eli's Mom's family and Eli made the ring box! It's from the trunk of our first live Christmas tree! (Yeah he's the best.) There were many tears from me as I learned all these details and I got to say yes to the only one for me. It was perfect.

Now, months later, we are gaining momentum to our wedding day and we just completed our Catholic church pre-marriage classes and counseling. And everyone, we truly enjoyed all of it! It may have been required and sounded lame, but it was so good. We learned and connected and got something really really necessary out of this time. We got to center in on our relationship while bringing God more into the mix of our life.
Here is to doing big things and continuing to learn about ourselves and our partners!
Instagram post 2170121445737501657_43636150 Worked late tonight and found my hunny making dinner when I got home. We shared our days, commented on our wedding RSVPs, did the dishes, and just spent time talking. Oh what an absolute treat this is. Him being away for MONTHS in a different time zone and hemisphere was madness and talking was essentially unheard of. (Kudos to military fams, like for real.) These moments of just us being us in the same house are so darn precious. I'm soaking up every time he whistles while he cooks, every small touch as we work around each other and every syllable to fall out of his mouth. Anyone else love to feel the beauty of their every day with their person? (Not sorry for being sappy, that's just me.)
Instagram post 2168997430121255708_43636150 I am way behind in sharing an amazing engagement session with Brianna and Cass! Brianna and I go way back to our high school years (woah), and I was honored to meet her person and photograph their love. Working with these two amazing humans was so much fun! We created some stunning photos, and even got a few in the flower garden they planted... the flowers were then used for their wedding! (I have some of the loveliest wedding photos to share too!)
